Compare

My life compared to Isabella's life are way different. Isabella and I both live in a two-story home but my house is way bigger than Isabella's and I have more rooms than she does. We both have a sister but she also has a baby sister. We both go to school everyday and we both also help our mothers. Isabella's mother doesn't work and my mom works everyday except for Sunday. Our government is ten times bigger than Isabella's was. We both have one best friend. We've had several big events but ours are way worse than Isabella's was. One different thing that I have in my life that Isabella didn't was that I have electricity, T.V's, cellphones, computers and motorized cars. Everything Isabella had was powered by oil or the sun. There type of entertainment was sitting around the fire playing board games or telling stories. Now that I've compared my life to Isabella's I've found out that my life is way easier compared to hers.

Event

The big event that occurred during my time period was when the peasants went on strike. My family and friends were there when this happened. This all happened at the market in my town a couple weeks ago. The peasants felt that they weren't getting enough credit for what they do and that they weren't being treated fairly so they went on strike. My parents went to town to see what was going on while I stayed home with my sisters. Later that day my parents came home and said that the peasants had torn the market apart because they felt that they weren't being treated fairly. That next morning on my way to school I went down to the market to check it out, it turned out to look way more horrible than I thought. Others were more devastated, some had lost there shops on the market and others couldn't get what they needed from the market since they had to shut it down while they repaired it. In the end the peasants did get a little more respect but they never really changed anything completely.

Culture

In my community I interact with my best friend Anne and my family. Anne and I tell each other everything and were always together when we can be. Since my family can afford more things than other people we usually eat some type of meat and vegetable every night. Most of the time we have beef or pork and for desert we usually have cake or cookies. We drink milk with most of our food since the water isn't that clean. In the morning for breakfast my mother usually makes us oatmeal or eggs. The town that we live in isn't that big. Most of the people that live in my town are quite wealthy and can afford things that I can afford. We have a market in our town that sells all kinds of goods and everybody has a nice house.

Government

My government was Feudalism. When I was growing up one law that I disagreed with was that Women weren't aloud to wear their hair down. Women always had to wear there hair pulled back into a ponytail or a bun to keep it out of our faces. One law that I did agree with was that children could quit school at 15 years old to help with their family's at home. My parent want me to get a good education so I didn't quit when I turned 15 I kept on going. My family and I are Christian. We go to church every Sunday and pray before we go to bed and every meal that we have each day. One conflict that we did have was that the peasants' children couldn't go to school after they turned 12 years old. They fought against that and eventually they won there rights and now peasants' children have the same choice that I have with my education.
